Community Involvement
Giving back to the community is what we do. Our team of professional organizers is committed to making a difference in the lives of others. We are happy to offer discounted pricing to non-profits, so we can help you reach your goals and help your bottom line as well.
Connect for a Cause
A Local Business Collaboration to Benefit Noble Causes
Are you a business owner who would like to help others but can't seem to squeeze it into your already overbooked schedule? We may have the solution for you.
Connect for a Cause was created because Missy Gerber, Organizers Northwest, saw an opportunity to build business relationships through volunteering. There is no set schedule but the goal is four events per year. The events are not tied to any one group so they can take place in a public space, a private home, or at the non-profit itself. There are no annual dues and each event is priced separately. We are trying very hard to keep the cost in the $25 - $30 range. Some may be less, some more, but we always have fun! The people that we have attracted are exactly the right fit for us: they enjoy helping others. We only want to play with nice people!
If you are interested in attending an event, please email Missy at missy@OrganizersNW.com, with "Please Add Me To CFC" in the subject line. You will be invited to any future events.

Cat In The Hat, played by Missy Gerber the Co-President of the Lake Oswego-Dunthorpe Alumnae Club, led the cheerleading effort for the crowd.
First Book Wrap Up
The Portland and Lake Oswego-Dunthorpe Alumnae Clubs held an exciting Speed Read event just before the Portland Trail Blazers game. Competing in the Speed Read event were a celebrity participant, former Trail Blazers player Jerome Kersey, a Pi Phi alumna, and two Oregon Gamma collegians.
A total donation of $750 was given to First Book by the Portland Trail Blazers on behalf of the Portland Alumnae Club and Lake-Oswego Dunthorpe Alumnae Club.
First Book provides new books to children in need addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy - access to books.

Charitable Networking Event at the Oregon Food Bank

We just wrapped up an evening of business networking for the greater good at the Oregon Food Bank and felt it was a smashing success! Missy Gerber and her team from Organizers NW volunteered to prepare seasonal fruits for distribution and meet other likeminded businesses. Missy has been to her share of networking events and was inspired, along with Michael Thompson from Market Accelerators, to organize an event that combined networking with helping others.
That evening, the volunteers bagged over 25,000 pounds of fruit for those in need!
Organizers NW will be helping to organize more charitable networking events in the future, so if you are a local business owner who would like to get involved, please check back often to keep current on upcoming events.
